SHOWTIME SHOWHOUSE-NURSE JACKIE

LBDA WAS HONORED TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DESIGN FOR SHOWTIME.  SHOWTIME SELECTED  A DESIGNER TO REPRESENT EACH SERIES, & WE WERE GIVEN NURSE JACKIE.  EXCITED  ABOUT THE CHALLENGE WE DESIGNED A HOSPITAL ROOM BASED ON NURSE JACKIE'S WORLD BEING A "WARPED PERCEPTION".  WE DESIGNED EVER ELEMENT OF THE ROOM IN PERSPECTIVE FROM THE CEILING FIXTURE TO THE BED DOWN TO THE FLOOR.  IT WAS AN HONOR TO BE A PART OF THIS PROJECT.

TO CREATE THE ILLUSION OF PERSPECTIVE ON THE FLOOR WE USED ELECTRICAL TAPE ON THE EXISTING FLOOR & HAD A CUSTOM BED MADE.

CHALKBOARD PAINT IN "HOSPITAL BLUE" CREATED A BACKGROUND WITH NURSE JACKIE'S SAYING, "LIFE IS A SERIES OF LITTLE PRICKS".  YARDS OF RUBBER WERE HUNG ON A CURVED TRACK THROUGHOUT THE ROOM.

NURSE JACKIE SPENDS ALOT OF HER TIME IN THE HOSPITAL'S CHURCH SO WE CONVERTED THE BATHROOM INTO A SANCTUARY. OUR AV TEAM VIDEO TAPED ONE OF OUR TEAM MEMBERS, MOVING AND SPEAKING & PROJECTED HER ONTO THE MIRROR.  CUSTOM WINDOW FILM WAS USED TO FILTER OUT THE LIGHT & CANDELABRAS CREATED THE PERFECT AMBIANCE.
