165 PERRY STREET-NYC

LBDA HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE WORKING ON THIS SPACE.  THE CLIENT WAS VERY TRUSTING  & WE WERE REALLY ABLE TO HAVE FUN WITH THIS SECOND HOME.  THE QUIRKY DETAILS MAKE THIS APARTMENT ONE A KIND & MY FAVORITE SPACE.

A BARN DOOR ADDED A FUN ASPECT TO THIS NYC LOFT.  THE INSIDE OF THE CLOSET WAS PAINTED LIME GREEN & WHEN THE LIGHT WAS ON, THE SPACE BETWEEN THE DOOR & WALLCOVERING ILLUMINATED.

BEFORE

WHAT WAS ONCE A DARK, DISMAL AREA WAS TRANSFORMED INTO A BRIGHT MULTI-FUNCTION SPACE.

A METALLIC SCREEN WAS USED TO SEPARATE THE DINING AREA FROM THE KITCHEN.  A STRUCTURAL COLUMN WAS TEXTURIZED BY BEING WRAPPING IT IN NYLON ROPE.

CUT OUT DRAPERIES WERE INSTALLED WITH LIGHTING BEHIND THEM TO CREATE THE ILLUSION OF A BRIGHT EXTERIOR.

A CRISP IMAGE OF GRASS WAS CREATED ON CANVAS.  THIS WAS AN INEXPENSIVE WAY TO DECORATE THE SPACE.

THE KITCHEN REALLY NEEDED TO BE RENOVATED BUT BECAUSE OF BUDGET WE HAD TO FIND AN ALTERNATE INEXPENSIVE WAY TO DESIGN IT.  WE INSTALLED AN IKEA KITCHEN & WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS!

AMAZING SPACE SAVERS WERE USED IN THE GUEST ROOM/OFFICE.

A TROUGH SINK WAS PLACED ON TOP OF AN INDUSTRIAL METRO-CART WHICH CREATED AN OPENNESS IN THIS SMALL SPACE.

THE MASTER BEDROOM HAD A RED BRICK WALL THAT WAS WASHED IN LIGHT GREY WHICH SOFTENED THIS SPACE.
